BIO

As a New Jersey native, I grew up staring in awe across the river at the skyscrapers and bright lights of New York City. Creativity, passion, and drive drew me in to the concrete jungle. I attended and graduated from Berkeley College in Manhattan with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Fashion Marketing and Management in 2007.

Throughout high school and college, I worked for a children's apparel company starting off in the warehouse office and moving over to the New York City showroom to the boys 8-20 division under the Head Designer; someone who has become one of the most important mentors of my career. It was there that I began to learn how to use Illustrator, research the market for trends, forecast colors and trends, create tech packs, communicate overseas with factories, and the overall process of how a design department functions.

After graduation, I landed my first full time job as an Assistant Product Developer. I was a wild card for them because most of their design students came from FIT but I had not only the experience working within a design department but I also had the confidence, skill, and the drive be a designer. It was there that I learned how to design soft good accessories such as cold weather knits, legwarmers, wraps, and straw hats and handbags for big box retailers such as Target and Walmart and specialty stores like Urban Outfitters and Forever 21.
After 2 years of experience in learning multiple sub-catergories in the accessories division, I was offered a position as a Designer to help start up a fashion jewelry department at a fine jewelry company. This was the focal point of my career for almost a decade. I helped build the division from the ground up. As the years went on, my role continued to grow and I was constantly looking for new ways to improve efficiency, function, and growth within the division and the company. I have grown not only as a jewelry designer but as a packaging designer as well. During my tenure, I learned how to create and develop packaging and created an entire sub-division for our department. I worked my way up the corporate ladder to Design Director by age 29. In September of 2017, I parted ways with the jewelry company to become a stay-at-home mom and focus on my family.

It was than that life had than given me the opportunity to move forward with my own business on a part-time schedule. For the past decade, I've not only enhanced my skills as a jewelry, accessories, and packaging designer but as a stationery designer as well. I have created from design concept to tangible product the following categories of items: invitations for weddings, birthday parties, baby showers, bridal showers, announcements, save the dates, thank you cards, menu's, signage, banners, place cards, table numbers, bridal party gifts, and so much more. It was an incredible adventure during my time at home but I knew my heart wanted to get back to fashion.

I have been back in the industry for over a year now managing product and packaging design for the storage and beauty department at a home accessories company in New York City. I have expanded my skillset into new product categories such as laundry hampers, totes, and accessories, closet storage and organization, and utility. I work with and source a variety of textiles, soft/hard materials, metal, bamboo, water hyacinth, paper rope, seagrass, resin, plastics, and acrylic.

As a passionate and motivated design professional, I’m constantly striving to improve my techniques, expand my skillset and find new opportunities to grow. Each of my projects - both solo and collaborative - have provided this growth and allowed me to establish myself within this competitive industry.
